Baseball Recap: Groveton Has No Trouble Against Hull-Daisetta

Groveton never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Hull-Daisetta on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Hull-Daisetta Bobcats as they made off with a 16-0 win. Considering the Indians have won three contests by more than 13 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

CADE WHITE was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. WHITE was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, DAX PARKER was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was CASH MOORE, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Groveton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .920. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hull-Daisetta only posted an OBP of .214.

Groveton's record is now 4-1.

Coming up, Groveton is taking a road trip to face off against Chester at 6:45 p.m. on March 4th. As for Hull-Daisetta, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Bob Hope at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
