Basketball Recap: Trego Takes a Loss

Trego was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 67-51 fall against the Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs. The Golden Eagles were probably out for revenge after losing 54-44 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Trego's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, the victory also got them back to even at 7-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trego will venture away from home to challenge Ellis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trego has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Thomas More Prep-Marian, they will head out on the road to square off against Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sacred Heart knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Thomas More Prep-Marian likes a good challenge.
