Recap: Murray Spartans vs. Park City Miners
The Murray Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Park City as Murray made off with a 79-53 victory. Given Murray's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Park City is ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Murray's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quinton Christman, who scored 14 points along with five assists and four steals. Christman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Isaiah Beh was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Murray is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Park City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Murray will take on Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Hillcrest has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Murray will arrive with three straight wins. As for Park City, they will play host again and welcome Jordan, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jordan will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Park City surely won't give up without a fight.
