Recap: Las Vegas Wildcats vs. Arbor View Aggies

If the Las Vegas Wildcats were feeling good off their 81-48 takedown of the Western Warriors on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Las Vegas took a 76-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arbor View on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Despite the loss, Las Vegas still got an impressive performance from Tayshaun Jackson, who scored 27 points. Jackson scored a full 41.5% of Las Vegas' points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakhai Jones, who scored 9 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals.

Even though they lost, Las Vegas were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arbor View only racked up 18.

Pharaoh Compton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Arbor View, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Compton's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Brian ?Chef? Townsend was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 9 rebounds.

Las Vegas now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Arbor View, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Las Vegas will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Galena at 8:30 p.m. on December 26th. Arbor View will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Durango at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Durango is ranked 46th, while Arbor View is ranked 27th).
