Basketball Recap: Pine Forest Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Pine Forest lost against Booker T. Washington back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles received a blow as they fell 63-45 to the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 536th, while the Wildcats are ranked 66th).

Jaden Clardy was his usual excellent self, putting up 20 points for Booker T. Washington. Clardy's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dwayne Francis, who posted 11 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Pine Forest and nudges their season record down to 1-8. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points over those games. As for Booker T. Washington, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Coming up, Pine Forest is taking a road trip to square off against Destin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will be up against the Sharks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Booker T. Washington, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fairhope at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th.
