Vincennes Rivet extended their postseason success on Monday against North Daviess. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars, sneaking past 7-6. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by just one run.

Nash Ransom made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Ransom was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Miles Gardner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Vincennes Rivet is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for North Daviess, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12-1.
