Baseball Recap: James F. Byrnes Takes a Loss

James F. Byrnes suffered their biggest defeat since March 19th on Friday. They lost 16-6 to the Eastside Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-5 defeat on Wednesday.

Blake Collins and Connor Crenshaw stepped up to the plate in a big way. Collins went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs, while Crenshaw went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for James F. Byrnes and nudges their season record down to 13-11. As for Eastside, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.

James F. Byrnes will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Wade Hampton at 11:00 a.m. The Rebels are facing the Generals at the right time seeing as the Generals are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Eastside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
