Basketball Game Preview: Andrew Thunderbolts vs. Sandburg Eagles

The Andrew Thunderbolts will square off against the Sandburg Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Andrew will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Monday, everything went Andrew's way against Berwyn/Cicero Morton as Andrew made off with a 57-31 win. The Thunderbolts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Sandburg hadn't done well against Lincoln-Way East recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Sandburg had just enough and edged Lincoln-Way East out 38-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since January 7th.

Sandburg pushed their record up to 18-7 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points per game. As for Andrew, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.
