The Gaffney Indians scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Union County 101-16 at home. That 101-16 margin sets a new team best for Gaffney this season.

Gaffney found their leader in underclassman Tianah Hopper, who scored 25 points along with three steals. The game was Hopper's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Shiriah Harris, who scored 17 points.

Gaffney's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Union County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gaffney will take on J.L. Mann at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. J.L. Mann is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Union County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boiling Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Boiling Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Wednesday.
