Soccer Recap: Wayne Memorial Comes Up Short

Wayne Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Stevenson Spartans, falling 8-2. If Wayne Memorial were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to Stevenson when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wayne Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Stevenson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2-1.

Looking ahead, Wayne Memorial will welcome Fordson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wayne Memorial will be up against Fordson's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.67 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Stevenson, they are taking a road trip to take on Dearborn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
