Pinecrest has gone a perfect 10-0 against Hoke County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Pinecrest Patriots will welcome the Hoke County Bucks at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pinecrest has four straight victories, Hoke County has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Pinecrest's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Cape Fear. Give the Patriots' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Jadyn Lamielle and Anna Depenbrock scored both of Pinecrest's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Hoke County's offense. They lost 9-0 to Union Pines on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bucks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Vikings are ranked 44th).

Hoke County's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Pinecrest, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Pinecrest was able to grind out a solid win over Hoke County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 2-0. Will Pinecrest repeat their success, or does Hoke County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
