Basketball Recap: Oak Grove Lutheran Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Oak Grove Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 72-61 to the Thompson Tommies, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Grovers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Tommies are ranked seventh).

Oak Grove Lutheran's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-9. As for Thompson, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Grove Lutheran will challenge Lisbon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Grove Lutheran is facing Lisbon at the right time seeing as Lisbon is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Thompson, they will venture away from home to square off against Four Winds/Minnewaukan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
