Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mesquite). Everything went their way against the DeSoto Eagles on Friday as the Mesquite Skeeters made off with a 20-4 win. The Skeeters might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Mesquite pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for DeSoto, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Mesquite has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Royse City on the 15th. DeSoto will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Duncanville at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
