Basketball Recap: Alyssa Kix and Alli Sheldahl Secure Win for South Hardin

South Hardin's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the BCLUW Comets by a score of 55-47. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won three in a row.

Leading South Hardin to victory were Alli Sheldahl and Alyssa Kix. Sheldahl went 9-for-20 en route to 20 points and three blocks, while Kix posted ten points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Kix a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Grace Eller, who earned seven points and three blocks.

South Hardin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

South Hardin's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for BCLUW, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-7.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers challenge the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th. BCLUW has already played their next game (against GMG), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
