Basketball Recap: Churchland Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Churchland can now relate to. They took a blow against the Warhill Lions on Tuesday, falling 55-24. The Truckers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Warhill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from D'Shela Walker, who to rack up 20 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Taleah James, who posted seven points along with ten boards and seven assists.

Churchland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Warhill, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Churchland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Warhill, they will take on Hampton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Warhill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Hampton likes a good challenge.
