Football Recap: Kylie Frady and Myah Vinson Pace Interlachen Defense

Interlachen fell victim to Matanzas and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 24-0 to the Matanzas Pirates. The Rams lost against the Pirates in their previous head to head back in March of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 0-0 score last time.

Even if they lost, Interlachen's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Kylie Frady and Myah Vinson, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Interlachen dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Matanzas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Interlachen will host Crescent City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crescent City's defense has only allowed 9.5 points per game this season, so Interlachen's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Matanzas, they will head out to face off against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
