Vassar played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They came out on top against the Unionville-Sebewaing Patriots by a score of 44-36. This was a revenge game for the Vulcans: when they faced off against the Patriots back in January, they had to take a 49-42 loss.

Vassar's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madix Gorleski led the charge by going 6 for 12 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bryce Brown, who went 6 of 9 to rack up 12 points.

Vassar's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Unionville-Sebewaing, they dropped their record down to 9-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vassar will face off against Bad Axe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Unionville-Sebewaing, they will take on Laker at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
