Wasatch won the last time they faced Spanish Fork and things went their way on Friday too. The Wasps came out on top in a nail-biter against the Dons, sneaking past 2-1. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Wasps have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Blake Sweat spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Wasatch's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Austin Brown, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Wasatch pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Spanish Fork, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Wasatch will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
