Football Recap: Campbell Starts off Right with Win over Chapel Hill + How To Watch

Campbell had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past the Chapel Hill Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 21-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Spartans also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Campbell's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Davin Lemire led the charge by throwing for 226 yards and two TDs, while also rushing for 72 yards and one touchdown. Those 226 passing yards gave Lemire a new career-high. A healthy portion of Lemire's aerial production (157 yards to be exact) went to Nick Buggs, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Campbell has already played their next game, a 42-19 win against South Forsyth on the 22nd. As for Chapel Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-6 victory against Osborne on the 22nd.
