Mize's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Heidelberg on Friday. They were beaten by the Oilers 50-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Oilers are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, Clarkdale lost to Union on the road by a 25-7 margin on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost five in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Clarkdale fell to 6-1. As for Mize, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
