Barbers Hill is 9-1 against Nederland since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Barbers Hill Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Nederland Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Barbers Hill is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

Barbers Hill will bounce into Friday's game after beating Port Neches-Groves, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Barbers Hill never let Port Neches-Groves get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Tuesday. Give the Eagles' defense some credit: that's the team's seventh straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Hailey Jansen, who's now up to 14 this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nederland). They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Port Arthur Memorial on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 13 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Barbers Hill's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those seven matches. As for Nederland, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.

Barbers Hill beat Nederland 2-0 in their previous matchup back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Barbers Hill since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
