After a string of five wins, Granger's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Joseph Catholic Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 689th, while the Eagles are ranked 323rd).

Gabi Roy went supernova for St. Joseph Catholic, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Roy a new career-high in points. Ryan Millhollon was another key player, putting up seven points along with nine rebounds and five steals.

Granger's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for St. Joseph Catholic, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

Granger didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-46 defeat against Brazos Christian on the 28th. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-36 loss against Mumford on the 28th.
