Softball Recap: Caldwell Takes a Loss

Caldwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Mount St. Dominic Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-4 back in April.

Caldwell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Deanna Skikus, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 7-11-1. As for Mount St. Dominic Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caldwell will challenge Livingston at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount St. Dominic Academy, they will face off against Paramus Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
