Volleyball Preview: Union Cougars vs. Ogden Tigers
Union has gone 3-0 against Ogden recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Cougars dukes it out withthe Ogden Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Union was able to grind out a solid victory over Grantsville, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.
Union had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 25-9, 25-23.
Camryn Huber had an outrageously good game as she had 24 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season.
Union was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Ogden entered their tilt with Ben Lomond on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Scots 3-0.
Union has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Ogden, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-14.
