Laguna Acoma is a perfect 10-0 against Tohatchi since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Laguna Acoma saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Derek Victorino Jr, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Tohatchi waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Warriors as they made off with a 10-1 victory. Considering the Cougars have won three matches by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Amir Woodie was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. He has become a key player for Tohatchi: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Thurmond Bitsie, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Tohatchi's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Laguna Acoma, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Everything went Laguna Acoma's way against Tohatchi in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, as Laguna Acoma made off with an 11-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Laguna Acoma since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
