South Granville won the last time they faced Oxford Prep and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vikings blew past the Griffins 6-0. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Tiatana Bates, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Addisen Goodwin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

South Granville's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Oxford Prep, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-3 record.

South Granville has already played their next game, an 18-0 victory against Louisburg on the 25th. As for Oxford Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Vance Charter on the 25th.
