 It was a good run, but  Whitmer unfortunately witnessed the end of their  five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They suffered a  rough 10-0 defeat at the hands of the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets. The  match marked that first time this year in which Whitmer was not able to get on the board.
 For Perrysburg's part,  Parker Faris tossed a big game,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out seven over six innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Brayden Heitmeyer was a standout: he went 3-for-3 with three  RBI and two  doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of  Quinn Weber, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Having lost for the first time this season, Whitmer  fell to 5-1. As for Perrysburg, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitmer will  challenge Springfield at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Whitmer is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Perrysburg, they will  face off against Start at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Start will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
