Football Preview: Michigan Center Cardinals vs. Grass Lake Warriors        
        
		
             The Michigan Center Cardinals will face off against the Grass Lake Warriors at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Michigan Center will be strutting in after a  victory while Grass Lake will be coming in after a  loss.
 Michigan Center is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have all season. They blew past East Jackson 48-0 on the road  on Friday.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Michigan Center to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Davion King, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave  King a new career-high in  rushing yards.  Braylon Brown was another key back, rushing for 55 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
 He was just one part of a punishing run game: Michigan Center was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 331  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Grass Lake was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  on Friday as they fell  30-26 to Napoleon. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
 Grass Lake's  defeat came about despite a quality game from  Brayden Lape, who threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Lape is  on a roll when it comes to  passing touchdowns, as he's  now  passed for three or more in the last four games he's  played dating back to last season.  Jacob Collins was  Lape's top target, picking up 121 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 Michigan Center's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Grass Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
 Michigan Center didn't have too much breathing room in their  matchup against Grass Lake  in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023, but they still walked away with  a  32-27 victory.
