Soccer Game Preview: Mapleton/Siuslaw vs. Pleasant Hill

The Mapleton/Siuslaw Sailors will face off against the Pleasant Hill Billies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mapleton/Siuslaw is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Mapleton/Siuslaw's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past La Pine 8-0. Mapleton/Siuslaw might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Hill came up short against Crosshill Christian on Thursday and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Pleasant Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Crosshill Christian are ranked 50th).

Mapleton/Siuslaw's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Pleasant Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6-1.

Mapleton/Siuslaw took their victory against Pleasant Hill in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. Do the Sailors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Billies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
