Softball Recap: Tuslaw Takes a Loss

Triway hit Tuslaw with a five-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs fell just short of the Titans by a score of 10-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-6 on Monday.

Shaylyn Fox was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Dani Crescenze was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Tuslaw and nudges their season record down to 13-8. As for Triway, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Tuslaw will venture away from home to face off against Perry at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Triway, they will host Louisville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
