South Pointe has won 14 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while South Florence has won 14 straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Stallions will welcome the Bruins at 12:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
South Pointe is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They really took it to Westside for the full four quarters, racking up a 40-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Stallions' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Rams are ranked 34th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Pointe to victory, but perhaps none more so than R.J. Brown, who rushed for 111 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries. That's the most rushing yards Brown has posted since back in September. Malik Ratliff was another key receiver, picking up 111 receiving yards and one touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: South Pointe was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 277 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 178 rushing yards in 11 consecutive contests.
South Pointe didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brysen Ginn and J'Zavien Currence. Ginn also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 12. Tyreckis Brice was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making five total tackles.
Meanwhile, South Florence was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Gray Collegiate Academy 55-14. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.
South Florence's win came from a few key players South Pointe will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Messiah Jackson, who rushed for 105 yards and five scores, and also threw for 52 yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Cameron James, who rushed for 176 yards while picking up 11.0 yards per carry.
South Florence's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for South Pointe, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 13-1.
South Pointe couldn't quite finish off South Florence in their previous matchup back in September of 2023 and fell 22-19. Can the Stallions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
