Locust Fork triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Faith Evans

Recap: Locust Fork Hornets vs. Southeastern Mustangs

In what's become a running theme this season, the Locust Fork Hornets gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They put the hurt on Southeastern with a sharp 72-52 victory. The score was close at the half, but Locust Fork pulled away in the second half with 39 points.

Faith Evans was her usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-8 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 32 points and 12 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Cortlyn Williamson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Locust Fork is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Southeastern, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
