Baseball Recap: Middleton Takes a Loss

Middleton lost against Spoto back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers lost 10-2 to the Spartans. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly eight runs.

Middleton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ahiam Olmeda, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Olmeda hit this season.

Middleton is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18. As for Spoto, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-13 record.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Middleton will square off against Brandon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.63 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Spoto, they will challenge Leto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
