Basketball Recap: Crossroads Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Windward

Crossroads posted their closest win since February 7, 2024 on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Windward Wildcats, sneaking past 58-55. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Roadrunners' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Wildcats are ranked 25th).

Crossroads moved to 12-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Windward, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-6.

Crossroads will square off against Animo Robinson at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. Animo Robinson will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Crossroads surely won't give up without a fight. As for Windward, they will take on Viewpoint at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Windward's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matches.
