Volleyball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Trinity Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Riverbend Academy Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win. The Eagles were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Warriors, so the Eagles were just returning the favor.

Trinity Christian Academy was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-8, 25-22.

Sarah McManama paced Trinity Christian Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. McManama got some help from Charlee Phillips and her 23 assists. McManama was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Riverbend Academy's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-1-1.

Trinity Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against First Baptist Christian Academy on the 21st. As for Riverbend Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Oasis Christian on the 22nd.
