Football Recap: Terrell Academy Triumphs

It may have taken triple overtime to finish the job, but Terrell Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 41-35 W over the Mount de Sales Academy Cavaliers. The score was all tied up 28-28 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

Josh Cabatit was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 199 yards and four TDs, and also threw for 245 yards and one touchdown. A healthy portion of that aerial production (143 yards to be exact) went to Cal Powell.

The victory made it two in a row for Terrell Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points over those games. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Terrell Academy will square off against Pataula Charter Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they will face off against Gatewood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
