Basketball Recap: Granite Falls Comes Up Short

Granite Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Mt. Baker Mountaineers on the road by a 67-48 margin. The Tigers were probably out for revenge after losing 55-50 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Granite Falls' record now sits at 1-6. As for Mt. Baker, their record now sits at 5-3.

Granite Falls and Mt. Baker could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Granite Falls (ranked 329th) will meet Sedro-Woolley (ranked 95th) at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mt. Baker will challenge Meridian at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025 down 136 places (178 vs. 42).
