Wellington lost to Spanish River  back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Wellington Wolverines came out on top against the Spanish River Sharks by a score of  10-5. With that  victory, the Wolverines brought their scoring average up to 6.1  runs per game.
Wellington got a great performance from  Greysn Bogdanchik as he  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   six  hits.
 On the hitting side, Wellington let  Lucas Bratten and  Thomas Lograsso run wild. Bratten  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4, while  Lograsso  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances. Lograsso is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Dante Fernandez, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Wellington  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .529. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in February.
Wellington has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record  this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. Spanish River dropped their record down to 6-6 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Wellington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  9-4  loss against Grace Christian Academy on the 13th. As for Spanish River, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  match,  a  5-3  win against Park Vista on the 13th.
