It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hinckley-Big Rock had no problem doing just that on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Indian Creek Timberwolves out 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Royals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hinckley-Big Rock found their leader in sophomore Claire Lambes, who had seven digs and four aces. The dominant performance gave Lambes a new career-high in aces.
Lambes wasn't the only good server: Hinckley-Big Rock was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indian Creek only served seven.
