Basketball Game Preview: Marina Mariners vs. North Monterey County Condors

Last Thursday, Marina came up short against Rancho San Juan and fell 73-64. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (55), the Mariners still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, North Monterey County waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Wildcatz by a score of 72-65.

North Monterey County pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Marina, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Marina, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-54 loss to North Monterey County in their previous meeting on January 7th.
