Soccer Game Preview: Lehi vs. American Fork

The Lehi Pioneers will venture away from home to square off against the American Fork Cavemen at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Lehi's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Lehi fell victim to Skyridge and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. While losing is never fun, Lehi can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Skyridge are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, American Fork kept a clean sheet against Westlake on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Thunder. American Fork have beaten Westlake the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Westlake has come to flipping the script.

American Fork's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Lehi, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
