Baseball Recap: Gatlinburg-Pittman Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Gatlinburg-Pittman won the last time they faced South Greene and things went their way on Thursday too. The Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the South Greene Rebels. That's two games straight that the Highlanders have won by exactly two runs.

Gatlinburg-Pittman's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ben Reece, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1. Reece also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Aaron Johnson was another, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases.

Gatlinburg-Pittman's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for South Greene, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
