Petal lost a close one when they played last Friday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Friday was a bit more commanding. They were beaten by the Brandon Bulldogs 45-10. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.
Tyson Robinson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 93 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while also catching a touchdown for Brandon. Another player making a difference was Quincy Phillips Jr., who picked up 87 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Petal's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Brandon, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
