Soccer Recap: Parkland Comes Up Short

Parkland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Americas Trail Blazers, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Matadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 378th, while the Trail Blazers are ranked 92nd).

Parkland's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Americas, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Parkland has already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against Bel Air on the 15th. As for Americas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 4-2 victory against Hanks on the 15th.
