Cox hadn't done well against Tallwood recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Wednesday. The Falcons were the clear victors by  an  11-0 margin over the Lions. That looming  11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Falcons yet this  season.
 Cox let  Lindsey Baber and  Daisy Kriz run wild. Baber  scored three  runs and  stole four bases while going 2-for-2, while  Kriz  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  triple. That's the most  runs  Baber has posted since back in April of 2024.  Lyric Alfier was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
The  victory made it two in a row for Cox and  bumps their season record up to 5-2. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6  runs in those games. As for Tallwood,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-3.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cox will  square off against  rival Salem  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tallwood is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Kempsville  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
