Basketball Recap: Sulphur Comes Up Short

Sulphur lost against Bethel back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sulphur Bulldogs had to suffer through a 68-24 loss at the hands of the Bethel Wildcats.

Bethel got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bailey Tucker out in front who went 6 for 13 on her way to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Those 17 points gave Tucker a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Gascon, who posted 21 points in addition to eight assists and five steals.

Sulphur's record now sits at 1-3. As for Bethel, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Sulphur will venture away from home to challenge Byng at 6:00 p.m. on December 17th. As for Bethel, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 47-44 defeat against Blanchard on the 12th.
