Football Recap: Rib Lake's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After flying high against Winter/Birchwood last Friday, Rib Lake came back down to earth. The Redmen lost to the Prentice Buccaneers on the road by a 46-32 margin on Friday. The Redmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Rib Lake moved to 3-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Prentice, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rib Lake will face off against Flambeau at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Redmen will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Prentice, they will take on Shell Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lakers' defense has only allowed four points per game this season, so the Buccaneers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
