Baseball Game Preview: Western Hills Cougars vs. Diamond Hill-Jarvis Eagles

Western Hills is 2-8 against Diamond Hill-Jarvis since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cougars will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Western Hills is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Dunbar a 14-0 shutout on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Axel Sanchez made a big impact no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
