Soccer Recap: Fort Vancouver Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Fort Vancouver won the last time they faced Kalama and things went their way on Monday too. The Trappers never let the Chinooks get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. Given Fort Vancouver's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Kalama are ranked 237th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fort Vancouver's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those three contests. As for Kalama, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coming up, Fort Vancouver will face off against Seton Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seton Catholic will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Fort Vancouver surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kalama, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Columbia at 7:00 p.m.
