Softball Recap: East Peoria Drops Highest Score of Season Against Streator

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Peoria). They put the hurt on the Streator Bulldogs with a sharp 17-2 victory on Saturday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

East Peoria's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-13. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Streator, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 19 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-23 record this season.

East Peoria does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Streator, they will face off against LaSalle-Peru at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
